They are a seed accelerator focused on hardware startups based in Shenzhen and San Francisco. Founded in 2011 with offices in Shenzhen and San Francisco, they have been recognized as the world’s most active early stage investor in hardware. How does it work? The program selects startups among hundreds of applicants for investment and offers on-site support and mentoring in exchange for equity over a period of 111 days and 8 weeks. They run two programs every year and accept over 15 teams. They were the first accelerator in the world to focus on hardware startups, leveraging its unique access to Shenzhen’s startup ecosystem.
