HKTDC electronics and lighting fairs open in October
Press conference next week to showcase latest smart products
26 September 2019 – As the traditional peak sourcing season begins, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will hold a press conference next Thursday (3 October) to introduce four fairs taking place later in the month, including the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), electronicAsia, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and HKTDC International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. The press conference hosts will examine the export performance and market trends for these industries, while various exhibitors will showcase their innovative smart products and give media representatives a better understanding of the latest trends in the electronics and lighting fields.
The 39th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the HKTDC, will run alongside the 23rd electronicAsia – jointly organised by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd – at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 13 to 16 October. The two fairs combine to form the world’s largest electronics trading platform. Highlights at the Electronics Fair include the Tech Hall, which will feature a new AI & Voice Recognition zone to reflect the arrival of the artificial intelligence (AI) era, as well as returning themed zones such as Robotics & Unmanned Tech, 3D Printing, Smart Tech, Virtual Reality and the Start-up zone. Spotlighted zones at electronicAsia include Power Supplies, Printed Circuit Board & Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), the World of Display Technology, Electronic Components, and Wireless and Sensors, showcasing a range of cutting-edge production technologies and components.
The 21st Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October while the fourth Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo takes place at AsiaWorld-Expo from 29 October to 1 November. In response to the burgeoning Smart Home trend, the Smart Home Gallery has been expanded and upgraded to become the Connected Living • Smart Home zone at the Autumn Lighting Fair, showcasing a wide array of smart lighting products. The Hall of Aurora and Residential Lighting zone also return to display creative and quality lighting products from around the world.
