Noah Silverman – Probabilistic Programming
HealthcareTech speech at Metta discussing some general concepts of probabilistic programming as well as demonstrating a healthcare motivated example by Noah Silverman who holds a PhD in statistics from UCLA, and has worked with data and technology for over 20 years. The focus of Dr. Silverman’s work is on developing probabilistic models for complex and stochastic systems. Some of his specialities include hierarchical Bayesian models, machine learning, complex predictive modeling, nonlinear classifiers, support vector machines, gaussian processes and natural language processing. He has developed solutions for clients in sectors including Digital Advertising, Education, crypto-currency, Sports and so on.
